No Bids Received For Emporium Arms Window Replacement

Cameron County’s Board of Commissioners has been forced to rebid a project to replace windows at the Emporium Arms on West Fourth St. in Emporium.

Cliff Clark, administrator for the Community Development Block Grant funded project, informed commissioners last Thursday that no bids had been received for the work.

The project calls for the replacement of over 150 windows at the building commonly known as the “high rise.”

Another CDBG funded project received two bids for the replacement of a culvert on Sizer Run.

Duffy Construction of Smethport entered a bid of $88,612.85 for the project. Solveson Contracting of Emporium was the second bidder, coming in at $80,450.
