Opening of Stevenson Dam Delayed Four Weeks
Pennsylvania Bureau of State Parks, Sinnemahoning State Park has announced that sediment removal from the George B. Stevenson reservoir has been completed but weather conditions have slowed progress of paving and modifications being made to mooring and launch area.
Park officials have extended the opening of the lake from July 4th to August 4th, 2017. Park Manager Bainey stated, “Park staff and contractor have been hampered by heavy rains, muddy conditions and limited access. This was a large earth moving project and delays are likely when grading, seeding and paving are dependent upon the weather.”
