Perfect Weather For This Year’s Fish Fest

The annual Salt Run Youth Fish Fest was a huge success. Both the weather and fish cooperated this year with sunny skies and mild temperatures.

Sponsored by Cameron County Outdoor Youth Activities (CCOYA), there were over 230 youth registered at this year’s event. The event provides children ages 12 years old and under an opportunity to test their fishing skills and become hooked on fishing.

“This has turned into a great community event,” said Don Bickford of CCOYA.  “In total we had over 400 people joining in the festivities.  It is just a fun family oriented day that people look forward to each year.”

CCOYA would like to thank Seneca Resources Corporation for helping them with the 2018 Fish Fest. Seneca Resources is the exploration and production segment of National Fuel Gas Company, explores for, develops, and purchases natural gas and oil reserves in California and Appalachia.
