The Cameron County High School Red Raider varsity basketball team played in the semifinals and consolation games of the District 9 Class A Championship Tournament last week but lost both games. On Wednesday they were beaten in the semifinals by Elk County Catholic and on Friday they fell to North Clarion in the third/fourth place contest.

At St. Marys High School the Red Raiders went toe-to- toe with defending D9 champion Elk County Catholic but ran out of gas and dropped a 46-25 decision. The Crusaders led by just four points, 26-22, but the Raiders gave up twenty points to ECC in the fourth period.
