Reading Under the Lights
A little rain did not keep the families in Emporium from Reading Under the Lights Friday night. Approximately 75 people gathered on the football field for a night of reading and family fun.
Joy Hampton Coffey was the guest reader of the book Stellaluna. Every child received a copy of Stellaluna provided by the Title 1 program along with donations from the Emporium Rotary and Northwest Bank. GKN generously provided prizes of backpacks, reading blankets, pillows and gift certificates to the upcoming Book Fair at Woodland Elementary School.
