Organizers of the Pinktober and Baskets of Hope fundraiser at the Cameron County Courthouse announced that this year’s activities raised an unprecedented amount of money and garnered more support to keep the project up and running.

Prothonotary Mary Grace Olay announced that Pinktober activities raised just over $10,000 with the help of a new partnership forged with local GKN employees.

Large, over-the-top, themed baskets were created by offices at the Cameron County Courthouse, with tickets on sale to residents and visitors throughout the month of October. The baskets are “prettied-up” and wrapped by Flowers N’ Things staff. The location also sells some of the $1.00 tickets that can be entered into the Baskets of Hope drawing.
