River, Roadway Cleanup Help Needed
Several local organizations will be coming together for the Annual River and Roadside Cleanup on Sunday, March 26th, and volunteers are needed. This is great opportunity to help make our area even more beautiful.
You can choose to help clean the Driftwood Branch Stream or clean the roadway along Rt. 120.
To participate in the river cleanup you must have a canoe and a partner or kayak. You will be assigned to specific locations along the stream or highway.
You will meet at the railroad bridge in Cameron at 12:00 (noon). Gloves, trash bags, and safety vests will be provided to participants. It is hoped that there will be enough volunteers to clean the stream from Cameron to Driftwood and Rt. 120 from Emporium to Driftwood.
Refreshments will be served.
