Rotarian, Don Olivett introduced guest speaker, Mike Wennin, (left) Executive Director of Lumber Heritage Region at the Emporium Rotary luncheon September 22nd. Before Mike’s presentation on genealogy and ancestry, Don gave a brief history of the Olivett ancestry dating back to 1903 when his great grandfather, Salvatore Oliveto, immigrated to the U.S. from Italy. Once in the U.S., he Americanized his name to Samuel Olivett.
