Serianni Granted Continuance During Court Return Day

Several defendants appeared for Jury Call during Return Day proceedings last Tuesday at the Cameron County Courthouse.

Jon Raymond Serianni, age 41, of Mountain View Road in Sylvan Heights in the Emporium area, was granted a continuance during proceedings.

Serianni, a former substitute teacher at the Cameron County High School, is charged with seven felony counts of child pornography and related offenses stemming from an investigation into his allegedly purchasing photographs of nude female students from other students under his tutelage.

Teachers are held to a high esteem than anyone else in school as they are there to teach and mold the minds of their students, a teacher having an affair is scandalous even though millions are having affairs all over the world, it would be bad enough if the teacher had of been caught watching adult porn at an online website like https://www.dosexvideo.com/ it may have caused them disgrace and possibly led to them having to leave their job at that particular school but at least they would still be free to teach at other school. Child pornography, on the other hand, is illegal and rightly so but for a teacher to be caught with child pornography it seems worse if that’s even possible, not only are they throwing away their freedom for the foreseeable future but their career which they’ve worked so hard for many years to get.
