Several Local Uncontested Races In County-Wide Election

Local races are set for the General Election to be held across the Commonwealth on Tuesday, November 7.

Several local races are uncontested. In the county-wide race, Republican Mary Grace Olay is running unopposed for the Prothonotary position, which she has held for several terms. Current Sheriff Allen H. Neyman is running unopposed for his position, as well. For Magisterial District Judge, incumbent Barry Brown will run unopposed, having earned the nomination from both the Democratic and Republican parties.

Two four-year school directors at large will be elected. Only two names appear on the ballot: Christy Bogart Bennett and incumbent Robert L. Lininger. Both are running as independents. For school director at large, two-year term, Sylvia Homan and Shelia Guisto are running as Republicans and Kelli Farabaugh as an Independent. Two will be elected. Homan currently holds a school board seat to which she was elected, while Guisto was nominated to fill the remains of a seat vacated partway into the term.
