Shaffer, Farren Earn College Scholarships

 

Recently the Elk County Community Foundation awarded two scholarships to students from the Cameron County High School (CCHS).
Ariel Farren received $500 from the Gladys Schultz Memorial Scholarship. Adam Shaffer was the recipient of the Blair Hornung Scholarship for $500.
Ariel is the daughter of Mark and Heather Farren. She is attending Gannon University to major in Biochemistry.
During her years at CCHS, Ariel participated in Future Business Leaders of America, Mu Alpha Theta, Yearbook Club, Spanish Club, Outdoor Club, Envirothon, Peer Tutoring, Student Council, Marching Band, Concert Band, IU9 Band, District Band and Pennsylvania Pearl Harbor Honors Band. She also participated in the Firehall Auxiliary and Essence of Motion Dance Studio, and she was a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society.
