Shippen Plans Spring Clean-Up For Saturday

The annual Spring Clean-Up will be held at the Shippen Township building from 8 a.m. until noon on Saturday, April 22.
Residents of Lumber, Portage and Shippen townships whose refuse bills are paid-in-full are permitted to bring truckloads of household waste to the township for disposal for a small fee. Electronics are not accepted, but can be dropped off at the St. Marys Recycling Center one Saturday each month. There is an extra charge for tire disposal.
A special meeting/public hearing will be scheduled to meet with representatives of the Cameron County ATV/UTV Association. Supervisors were recently asked to open several roads to ATV/UTV riders as part of the development of a trail to run through the county and connect Sinnemahoning, Driftwood and Emporium.
