Shupe Represents Austin In Laurel Festival
Miss Sydnee Shupe will represent Austin Area Junior-Senior High School and her community as a Pennsylvania Laurel Queen candidate in the 76th Annual Pennsylvania State Laurel Festival celebration now through Sunday, June 18.
A daughter of Jessica Woodard-Scott of Coudersport and Troy Shupe of Emporium, she will be a senior at her high school this fall. She has a perfect attendance record and been on honor roll as a sophomore and junior. She is a three-year member of the basketball team and Envirothon (a high school environmental education event) as a freshman and was a member of student council, the Entrepreneurship club (operating an engraving business), the yearbook staff, the volleyball team and Yellow Ribbon (help prevent suicide and bullying) as a sophomore and junior.
