Sinnemahoning Park Holiday Weekend Activities

Sinnemahoning State Park is offering a variety of environmental programs and activities for the Labor Day Weekend.
A Monarch Butterfly Tagging program will be held Saturday, September 2, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the Park Office and Wildlife Center. Discover the mystery of monarch butterfly migration, their unique life cycles, and what you can do to help these marvelous insects to survive.
This free, family-friendly program will begin with a presentation in the classroom, followed by a short walk around the gardens and fields to catch, tag, and release monarch butterflies. Arial nets provided. Wear long pants and closed-toe shoes and be prepared to walk through fields.
