Sizerville Bridge Work Begins, Wykoff Detour Ends

Roadwork in the Wykoff Run area progressed far enough for the detour to be ended and travelers to return to the area just ahead of fishing season.

Wykoff Run Road (Route 2001) in Gibson Township had been closed for several weeks prior to opening day of fishing season to facilitate work on a bridge spanning a small tributary approximately one mile northeast of the intersection with Quehanna Highway. As of last week, the road was reopened. Travelers had been redirected around a more than 30-mile detour to reach their destinations. Approximately 400 cars move through the area each day, according to PennDOT.
