Smith Wins D9 Javelin Title, Headed To States
Trae Smith, competing for Cameron County track and field, brought home a first place finish at the 2016 District 9 Class AA Championships last Friday with a win in the javelin. Smith had a toss of 178’8” in the event held at Brookville High School, outdistancing the second place finisher by almost fifteen feet.
