Stephanic Found Guilty of Murder

A jury has convicted a St. Marys man of murder in the shooting death of his girlfriend, a former Emporium resident.
Michael J. Stephanic, Jr., age 46, was found guilty of first degree murder by a jury in Elk County following a three-day trial and an hour of jury deliberation.
Stephanic killed his girlfriend, June A. Talmadge, age 48, a former Emporium resident, mother and grandmother, on September 3, 2013, following several incidents in which he was in contact with police.
