Storm Damages Being Tallied

Agencies in Cameron County are being asked to total up their costs and damages from recent rainstorms in order to apply for Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) funding, should it become available.

Officials with Shippen Township and the Emporium Borough believe that they each suffered enough damage to meet the $18,000 threshold for the county, but are encouraging other municipalities and non-profits to total up their storm costs to put toward the $18 million in damages that must be reported across the state in order for Pennsylvania to be eligible for funding from the federal government.
