Supervisors Discuss Road Repaving Costs
Shippen Township Supervisors scheduled a special meeting later this month to open bids for stone to be used to repair a section of levee in Prospect Park.
The township, county and Mid-Cameron Authority are working together to make repairs to the levee which not only offers flood protection to nearby residents but also houses water and sewage lines running from the neighborhood to the Emporium Borough.
Issues were discovered by the new owners of Reed and Reid Auto Service several years ago when tires and other items, used as filler when the levee system was constructed, began falling out into the stream.
