Tide Dominates Raiders In Home Opener

The Cameron County High School Red Raider varsity football team hosted Curwensville Area High School last Saturday night in the first home game of the 2018 season but was unable to stem the Tide and fell 58-6.
The visitors jumped out to a 23-0 lead after one quarter and coasted to the win.
Curwensville got four touchdown runs from three different players and a scoring pass from quarterback Noah Von Gunden, but also scored defensively on a punt return, fumble return and an interception return. Cole Bressler scored on two rushes and also returned a fumble eighty-nine yards for another score.
Von Gunden threw a touchdown to Jake McCracken and ran for another while McCraken also returned a punt for a touchdown. The Golden Tide also got scores on the ground by Avery Francisco and on an interception return by Lincoln Giuffre.
