Heroin has arrived in the tri-county area, according to treatment specialists speaking at a question and answer session held at the Cameron County High School Tuesday night.

Employees of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services (ADAS), the agency that serves Cameron, Elk and McKean counties, held the session in response to the growth of individuals in the region addicted to opioids, including heroin and a number of prescription medications.
