Unemployment Up Slightly In Latest Job Numbers

 

The Cameron County unemployment rate is up slightly from the previous month, coming in at 7.5% for the month of June.
New data on unemployment numbers and job creation across the Commonwealth have been released by the Pennsylvania Center for Workforce Information and Analysis.
For the same period, the unemployment rate for Pennsylvania was 5%. About 60 Cameron County residents have exhausted their unemployment compensation (UC) benefits over the past year, approximately 20 in the manufacturing sector, and 10 each in the construction, professional and business services, education and health services, and other services sectors.
