Unlikely Victories Propel Lady Raiders Into D9 Semi-Finals

The Cameron County High School Lady Red Raider basketball team had a pair of District 9 playoff games last week and advanced to the semifinals of the Class A tourney by collecting a pair of unlikely victories.
On Tuesday, the seventh seeded Lady Raiders hosted the Allegheny-Clarion Valley Lady Falcons and it took three overtime periods for CCHS to gain the win. The victory allowed them to advance to the second round on Thursday, where they upset the second seeded Port Allegany Lady Gators to make the district semifinal and qualify for the PIAA state tournament.
