‘Unwarranted Flood Insurance Costing Us’
In July of 2011, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) came out with a new flood plain map for Cameron County. As a result, 126 new flood insurance policies were written, many in areas which historically never had to have flood insurance in the past.
