A Cameron County public water system has instituted voluntary rationing of its water due to drought conditions across the Commonwealth.

Residents of the Driftwood Borough who are served by the Driftwood Water Authority are being asked to conserve water through a number of measures.

“Nanty Run is holding its own right now, but we don’t know for how long,” stated Driftwood Borough Council President Misty Lupro. “Our consumption is much lower than it has been over the last few years but we’re trying to be proactive.”
