Wandering Aimlessly

Potpourri – Early Spring 2014

by Phil Burkhouse

Early in horn hunting season my energy level seemed to go about a quart low.  The three grandsons and I spent several days afield, and they managed to come up with seven deer sheds from different points in the county, but basketball cut deeply into their wandering aimlessly time.  Last week I got so low in energy I thought perhaps a trip to Q-Care might be in order.  Several x-rays later I was informed I had pneumonia and horn hunting was ruled out.  Not to worry—Mary and I could still prowl the PA Wilds in the Subaru.
