Your comments in the 3/30/16 Echo Trivia brought back some memories.
Dave Carson and I were both announcers at Emporium’s first radio station, “WEMR.” More on that later.
Kent, you are right; “WLEM” went on the air March 8, 1958; Bernie Erskine was the original owner. Jim Spotts was the station manager. Jim, Dean Close and I were the original on air announcers. In later years Bernie sold the station to Jim Spotts and Dean Close; if I had the cash it could have been the three of us.
