Annual Historical Fall Dinner Planned
The Cameron County Historical Society will be holding its annual Fall Dinner Thursday, October 20 at 5:30 p.m. at the VFW in Emporium.
This year’s guest speaker is Author Dr. Paul Kahan of the recently released “Amiable Scoundrel” Simon Cameron Lincoln’s Scandalous Secretary of War.
Coming from the Philadelphia area, Dr. Kahan is a well-known and respected authority on the history of American corrections, American diplomacy, cultural history, education and history of Pennsylvania. He will present a biography of Senator Simon Cameron, the man our county was named after.
