Apollo Theatre Owners Speak at Rotary

Rotarian, Bari Poorman, introduced Darlene Lynch and her daughter, Alyson, owners of the Apollo Theatre in St. Marys at the recent Rotary luncheon.

Built in 1928, the theatre was named the St. Marys Theatre with a seating capacity of  900 and a stage was also built so road shows could perform there.  The theatre opened November 1, 1928 with a special showing of “Our Dancing Daughters,” the movie that propelled star Joan Crawford to stardom.
