Area Residents Witness Strange Weather Phenomenon

Cameron County residents, along with those in parts of Pennsylvania, Ohio and the Midwest, were treated last week to Snow Rollers, an uncommon sight brought about by a combination of fierce winter weather, rising temperatures and howling winds.

Snow Rollers are the official term for the often donut-shaped snowballs that seemed to magically appear last week as part of the severe weather system that affected most of the country and shuttered the southern city of Atlanta, Georgia.
