Boy Scout To Be Awarded for Cameron Co. Rescue

A young boy will be honored after helping with rescue efforts to extract his grandfather from a remote site in Cameron County.
Hayden Merkey, a 12-year-old Boy Scout, was hunting with his grandfather in Gibson Township in November of 2012 when the two slipped and fell several hundred feet down a steep mountainside.
