Business Owners, Police Meet To Combat Retail Theft

Abuse of drugs is the topic of discussion across the state in recent weeks, highlighting an issue that has been prevalent in the news in Cameron County and across much of the country.

In the Pittsburgh area, at least 22 deaths were attributed in one week to heroin laced with the powerful pain-killer fentanyl, and commissioners in Potter County released a report on county-level efforts to combat drug abuse in their area. A recent radio report from Black Forest Broadcasting noted four fatal heroin overdoses in the past 18 months in Potter County.
