Set in Oklahoma Territory outside the town of Claremore in 1906, it tells the story of cowboy Curly McLain and his romance with farm girl Laurey Williams. Laurey is a headstrong farm gi…rl who doesn’t want to fall willingly into the arms of the handsome cowboy, Curly. In her attempts to avoid him, she ends up turning to the dark-hearted farm hand, Jud Fry, who wants to do more than take her to the dance. A secondary romance concerns cowboy Will Parker and his flirtatious fiancée, Ado Annie. But her father Andrew Carnes forces poor Ali Hakim to get engaged to Ado Annie when he is looking down the barrel of a shotgun. This will be a great toe-tapping, fun filled, night full of great music that you will want to sing along too.

Music by RICHARD RODGERS
Books and Lyrics by OSCAR HAMMERSTEIN II
Based on the play “Green Grow the Lilacs” by Lynn Riggs
Original Dances by Agnes De Mille
