Coalition Working To Get Land Tax Equity Word Out

Members of the Pennsylvania State Land Tax Fairness Coalition have been working hard to get the message out to legislators and urban counties on the difficulties facing rural areas with high percentages of state-owned land.

The coalition is being led by County Commissioners from several local counties including Cameron County’s Phil Jones, Paul Heimel of Potter County, Pete Smeltz of Clinton County and Tony Mussare of Lycoming County, along with Austin Area School District Superintendent and former Cameron County School District teacher Jerry Sasala and Potter County GIS Director Will Hunt.
