Community Nurses Announces Butterfly Release Event
The Community Nurses 5th annual Butterfly Release for Hospice will take place on Sunday, August 2 at 1 p.m. at The Serenity Garden at Penn Highlands Elk in St. Marys. Hundreds of butterflies are released to honor and remember loved ones.
When released, some butterflies flutter away immediately, while many others delight the crowd by staying to rest on hands, shoulders and nearby flowers and bushes. The event also includes inspirational readings, beautiful music and the reading of names.
