Could This Be the Coldest Winter Ever?

The nation has been pounded by storms this winter. The 18th named storm of the year was announced on Sunday as Winter Storm Rex and is expected to blast across the country bringing an additional six inches of snowfall to an already weary populace.

While many people are lamenting this winter as the worst they can remember, elders are disputing this, with several examples in the 1950s, ‘60s and ‘70s of ten-foot-tall snow drifts, walking to school over impassable roads and the dreaded clanging of tire chains.
