County Commissioners Review Borough, Shippen Levee Project Notifications

Several notifications have been received by the Cameron County Commissioners concerning flood mitigation and control projects in Emporium and natural gas development activities.
Last week, commissioners received notice that the Borough of Emporium has begun the process to apply for a Flood Mitigation Program Grant through the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) for an engineering study required for certification of the borough’s levees.
