Donations Sought To Restore World War I Monument
Would you like to give respect to veterans in this community? Would you like to donate to a worthy cause in your community? Here’s your opportunity.
In 1935, this town, along with the American Legion members, erected the World War I monument at the courthouse. It was erected as a memorial to our Cameron County veterans who served this country during the Great World War.
This monument is in dire need of renovation and an estimate of $104,000 has been given for the necessary restoration to be completed. Local fund-raisers have been running, but this is quite a great cost with just small fund-raisers.
