Egg-Stremely Popular Pheasant Project Returns

Cameron County Outdoor Youth Activities (CCOYA) recently delivered over 400 pheasant eggs to Cameron County School District. This year there are 11 classrooms at the Woodland School and two in the High School that are participating in the program.

Each classroom is equipped with an incubator that is hoped to hatch about 40 eggs. With the Pennsylvania Game Commission shutting down pheasant farms, an alternate resource was found to obtain pheasant eggs.

“I would like to thank Rowans Outback Game Birds for helping us keep our program alive,” said Don Bickford of CCOYA.
