Emporium Man Arrested For Selling Heroin

Police in Elk County recently arrested an Emporium man for allegedly selling narcotics in the parking lot of a St. Marys restaurant.

St. Marys City Police arrested 48-year-old Daniel James Uber, of Route 120 near Emporium, on June 2 after an off-duty state trooper called in a suspected drug deal in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant.

It is alleged that a man and woman made an exchange in a blue Jeep Wrangler. After conducting a traffic stop, police discovered Uber was in possession of five bags of heroin, two empty bags and a smoking pipe. Uber later admitted to selling $60 worth of heroin to the unnamed woman.
