I know I do a lot of complaining about cold weather, but as anyone who works in a factory can tell you, these dog days of summer are almost unbearable without a quick thunderstorm to get rid of some of the humidity. Probably the only way I am not a traditionalist when it comes to baseball is that I love night games and only tolerate day baseball. In the words of Hamilton Porter in one of my favorite movies, “The Sandlot”, I hate “baking like a toasted cheeser” in the afternoon sun watching baseball.
