Heating Assistance Program Extended
The deadline to apply for home heating assistance under the state’s Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) has been extended to May 1, according to Senator Joe Scarnati (R-25), who urged eligible residents to apply.
LIHEAP offers assistance in the form of a cash grant, sent directly to the utility company, or a crisis grant for households in immediate danger of being without heat.
