Hopwood Fills Vacated Supervisor Position
Shippen Township Supervisors voted in an interim supervisor to fill the vacant position created when former supervisor Jerry Crosby tendered his resignation, effective on January 31.
Bill Hopwood will fill the position through the end of this year, and a new supervisor will be elected in this year’s municipal election being held in November. Petitions can be picked up at the Cameron County Commissioners office beginning February 17, and must be returned, completed, by March 10 for candidates to appear on the May primary ballot.
