Hung Jury In Chapman Trial

A trial at the Cameron County Courthouse resulted in a hung jury and was declared a mistrial by Judge Richard Masson. It is believed to be the first time this has occurred within the county, according to District Attorney Paul Malizia and courthouse staff.

The jury, which consisted of six men and six women, was unable to reach a verdict on the case against Joseph William Chapman, age 30, formerly of Coudersport and Emporium, after spending six hours in deliberations.
