Learn the history behind our namesake, Simon Cameron at the Cameron County Historical Society Fall Dinner Thursday, October 20, at 5:30 p.m. at the VFW in Emporium.
Guest speaker is Author Dr. Paul Kahan of the recently released “Amiable Scoundrel” – Simon Cameron Lincoln’s Scandalous Secretary of War.
Coming from the Philadelphia area, Dr. Kahan is a well-known and respected authority on the history and will present a biography of Senator Simon Cameron, the man our county was named after.
