Local Runners Compete in Trail Challenge
The Elk County Conservation District annual Trail Challenge, in memory of Les Haas, was held last week. Les is the father of Becca Peters of Emporium.
“I know how proud my dad would be of the whole event because the proceeds go to teaching youth about conservation. Thank you all for your support,” commented Peters.
Four runners from Emporium competed and all brought home medals.
Eugenia Clark was the all around winner in the women’s 14k division.
