No Tax Increase In Boro Budget

At their December regular meeting held on Monday night, members of the Emporium Borough Council unanimously voted to adopt the 2014 Budget, which decreased spending and kept taxation stagnant.

Council approved the budget with expenditures in the amount of $1,156,438, down $18,311 from last year. This is the third year in a row the borough has been able to keep the budget at nearly the same levels or lower than the previous years.
