Penn Highlands Elk Welcomes New Physician
Penn Highlands Elk is pleased to welcome Paraneetha Thangada, M.D., to its hospitalist program. A board-certified internal medicine specialist, she began seeing inpatients in early October.
A hospitalist is a physician that doesn’t have an outpatient office but focuses solely on people who have been admitted to the hospital. Unlike the doctor who makes rounds once a day, a hospitalist is available around the clock to follow the patient throughout his or her stay.
