Pheasant Egg Project + Fun = Education

“The pheasant hatching program is not only fun but there is a huge benefit in students learning about science and responsibility,” says Don Bickford of Cameron County Outdoor Youth Activities (CCOYA) and one of the coordinators of the project.

Thanks to Cameron County School District partnering with 4-H/Penn State Extension and CCOYA, new learning projects come out of this program every year. Although most of the incubation process takes place at the Woodland school, there has become more involvement with the High School students.
