Properties Sought To Participate in HOME Program

Commissioners announced that program manager Cliff Clark of the county’s Housing and Redevelopment Authority is seeking five or six properties to participate in this year’s HOME program, which uses federal funding to rehabilitate homes for seniors and disabled residents.

Applicants must live in Cameron County, be 62 years of age or older or receive disability benefits, meet eligibility requirements, and own or have “life use” of a home which cannot be in the flood plain.
